JESUS FREE NURSERY SCHOOL
Pastor Jean Miruho de Dieu, who is the head of OJP in Rwanda, and his family, live in an area in Kigali (Rwanda) where there are many widows from the days of the genocide. As we were praying for Rwanda with Pastor Jean we asked him, what are the needs of your neighbors? What can we pray about for them? Jean replied that many widows regret that they cannot afford to send their children to school because public school costs $100 per child to attend. We started to pray for these children and their mothers. Jesus told us that He would provide for them.
We asked Pastor Jean who might be willing to have classes to teach these children. Jean and his church volunteered to open a school for the children. The first classes were held on January 11, 2008 and 65 students are enrolled. Pastor Jean is the Administrator (principal) and there are three volunteer teachers, plus Jean's wife Beathy prepares a small lunch meal each school day for the students.

In the summer, on August 19, 2007, Pastor Jean and Beathy hosted a dinner in their home for the new students. The 65 students attended the dinner.
